Quicken and PennyBolt use different words for the same ideas, and some Quicken features don’t have a PennyBolt equivalent yet. This table maps the terminology so you can find what you’re looking for without guessing.

Memorized payee Payee + rule In PennyBolt, a payee rule attaches a category (and optionally a renamed payee) to any matching transaction.
Online services / bank feed Bank download PennyBolt doesn’t connect live to your bank. You download a file and import it.

Terms with no direct equivalent

Scheduled transaction (not in v1) PennyBolt v1 doesn’t have recurring or scheduled transactions. Enter them manually as they happen, or import them from your bank download.
Bill pay (not in v1) PennyBolt doesn’t connect to your bank for payments. Pay through your bank’s website; import the resulting transaction.
Quicken Cloud (none) PennyBolt is local-only. Your file doesn’t sync to any cloud.
Attachments (not in v1) PennyBolt v1 doesn’t attach receipts or documents to transactions.
Budgets (not in v1) Budget tracking is not in v1. Use categories and the Sankey report to see where your money goes.
Investment accounts Asset account (manual) PennyBolt v1 doesn’t track investment performance. Add brokerage accounts as asset accounts and update the balance manually when it changes.
Loan accounts Liability account PennyBolt tracks the balance you owe. It doesn’t amortize payments or track interest separately.
